CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Different co-ordinators, same systems, same head coach. Rasul Douglas Womens Jersey . The Bengals will be slightly different next season as they try to end one of the NFLs longest runs of playoff misery. The Bengals promoted linebackers coach Paul Guenther to defensive co-ordinator on Thursday, keeping continuity for a unit that finished No. 3 in the NFL last season. The move came one day after the Minnesota Vikings hired Mike Zimmer as their head coach. Its also the second time in two weeks that Cincinnati replaced a co-ordinator with an in-house candidate. They elevated running backs coach Hue Jackson to offensive co-ordinator after Jay Gruden was hired by the Redskins as head coach. "Were going to have some new coaches, and its great for us," coach Marvin Lewis said on Thursday. "Some new blood, some new energy. Because we cant be the same. We dont get to be the same. Weve got to be better in 2014 than we were in 13, and thats what our quest is right away." The Bengals won the AFC North this season, but couldnt shake their legacy of flaming out in the playoffs. They lost to San Diego 27-10 in the opening round at Paul Brown Stadium, making it 23 years since they last won a playoff game, tied for the sixth-longest streak in NFL history. Theyve also tied the NFL record by losing their opening game three years in a row. And Lewis is 0-5 in the playoffs during his 11 seasons in Cincinnati, trailing Jim Mora by one for the most consecutive playoff losses to start a coaching career. "I want to still be playing a year from now," said Lewis, who is entering the final year on his contract. The Bengals are the first team since the 2006 San Diego Chargers to lose both co-ordinators to head coaching jobs elsewhere, according to STATS LLC. Zimmer presided over one of the Bengals best stretches of defence during his six seasons in Cincinnati. The Bengals finished in the Top 10 for fewest yards allowed in four of the last five seasons. Guenther has spent nine seasons on Cincinnatis coaching staff, the last two with the linebackers. He worked with Zimmer to formulate the defensive plays. "Since the first day he got here, Ive been by his side most of the time," Guenther said. "If you look back at our defence in 2008, it has transformed to now. Weve sat side-by-side and put a lot of this stuff together." Zimmer wanted to bring Guenther with him to Minnesota as his defensive co-ordinator, but Guenther decided to stay in Cincinnati. "Ive got young kids; I didnt have to move my family," Guenther said. "Ive got good players that I really like and care for. And really at the end of the day, that was probably the one thing that I said: OK, I feel bad for these guys, this guys leaving and that guys leaving (as co-ordinators) and these guys deserve a good situation." The Bengals will be getting a couple of their defensive stars back from injury. Top cornerback Leon Hall tore an Achilles tendon and defensive tackle Gen Atkins tore a knee ligament during the season. The defence has a core of young players led by Pro Bowl linebacker Vontaze Burfict. One of the biggest challenges for Guenther will be calling the plays during games. Zimmer was known for his ability to anticipate what the opposing offence would do and get into a defence that contained it. "Youve got to understand (the opposing offence) better than they understand themselves," Lewis said. "Mike was excellent at that. Going forward, thats going to be the challenge of Paul in this situation in this role. Hes not been that." Guenther sat with the coaches in a booth on game days and was part of the discussions about which defence to call. "There is a lot of communication going on every play: What do you like here? What do you like there? To be honest with you, I could sit up in the press box and probably 95 per cent of the time know what was going to come out of his mouth," Guenther said. "Being around the guy and understanding how he calls the game, certain situations, you know it. Its just a matter of going out there and doing it." Rasul Douglas Eagles Jersey . "Today was a very great day for me. It was always my dream to be good in GS," Wierather said. "I took quite a long time to get there. It feels awesome to have my first win (in GS)." Wierather leads overall with 595 points from Lara Gut (568), who finished second, and Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany (535). Derek Barnett Eagles Jersey . The All Blacks played their best rugby of recent years when they beat South Africa 38-27 in Johannesburg two weeks ago, clinching the Rugby Championships in a match which has been hailed as one of the best ever played. http://www.authenticeaglesnflpro.com/c-79-eagles-donnel-pumphrey-jersey.aspx . THE MICHAEL JORDAN FLU GAME First this famous basketball moment. The story goes like this. “Game 5, known as "The Flu Game", was one of Michael Jordans most memorable.LANDOVER, Md. - Hows this for a frustrating hat trick: Percy Harvin had three touchdowns called back because of penalties.Well, the first one I was cool with, he said. I was like, OK. Then when the second one happened, I was like, Wow. And then when the third one happened I just flipped my hands down. I couldnt believe it.Were it not for the self-inflicted wounds, the Seattle Seahawks might have had a cakewalk against the Washington Redskins. As it was, they settled for a 27-17 win in a Monday night game flush with neutral zone infractions, holds, false starts and even a 15-yarder that was called because someone, according to the referee, hit a player on the ground unnecessarily. It couldve been a very big night for us, Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. We came out flying, but we were just a little bit out of whack. One player who definitely wasnt out of whack was Russell Wilson, who rushed for a career-high 122 yards and a touchdown and completed 18 of 24 passes for 201 yards with two scores as the Seahawks (3-1) maintained their dominance in games played under the lights. Seattle is an NFL-best 21-8 on Monday nights, including nine wins in a row. The team is also 11-1 in prime time under Carroll.Wilson dazzled throughout, whether it was a designed run or a scramble out of the pocket. He had rushes of 16, 29, 13 and 22 in the first two drives. He headed for the pylon on a clinical zone-read run for a 9-yard score in the second quarter, giving Seattle a 17-0 lead, and pulled off two incredible run-for-his-life scrambles in the second half after the Redskins threatened to make a game of it.It was like he wasnt Superman in the second half, Redskins safety Ryan Clark said. He was, like, Clark Kent, half-Superman. He still did his thing. But how bad was the Seahawks penalty bug? It wasnt until a 4-yard run by Alfred Morris with three minutes left in the first half that the Redskins total yards (47) passed Seattles penalty yards (45) for good.I just think its Monday Night Football. You know, the fans are watching and everybody wants to see a good game, so theyre going to try to make it as close as possible, Seattle safety Earl Thomas said. Its a business.Seattle finished with 13 penalties for 90 yards, and Harvin paid the price. It would have been 21-0 if either of his would-be touchdowns a€” on back-to-back plays a€” had counted in the first half. First, his 16-yard run to the end zone was wiped out by holding on left guard James Carpenter, then his 26-yard catch-and-run was negated by a flag for a false start on Harviin himself. Donnel Pumphrey Jersey. .Early in the fourth quarter, Wilson hit a wide-open Harvin for an apparent 41-yard score, but Carpenter was cited again a€” this time because he blocked a Redskins player who was already on the ground. It got to the point where he had a little talk in the huddle, Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin said. Like, We need to get things straight a€” because this is ridiculous.Indeed, the Seahawks recovered from the third overturned TD. Wilson scrambled every which way a€” and nearly past the line of scrimmage before retreating a€” and hit Luke Willson for a 19-yard gain, and punter-holder Jon Ryan ran 5 yards on a fake field goal on fourth-and-1. Six plays later, Wilson hit Marshawn Lynch for a 9-yard score to give Seattle a 24-10 lead with 6:31 remaining. The Redskins pulled within a touchdown on Kirk Cousins 6-yard pass to Andre Roberts with 3:35 to go, but the Seahawks took the ensuing kickoff and marched back down the field. Wilson converted a third-and-4 with another scramble, evading Ryan Kerrigan and tumbling backward as he found Lynch for a 30-yard gain. And there was no flag.I dont know what the heck happened on that play, Carroll said. For everybody to be right and not grab somebody or do something wrong in the midst of all the chaos, and we come out of it with about a 40- or 50-yard play or whatever it was, it was phenomenal.Steven Hauschka then iced the game with a 43-yard field goal with 21 seconds to play. The Redskins (1-4) punted eight times, and two deep passes to DeSean Jackson accounted for 137 of their 307 total yards.Cousins completed 21 of 36 passes for 283 yards and dropped to 1-6 in his career as a Redskins starter.Overall, as a group offensively, our running games not quite good enough, Washington coach Jay Gruden said. Obviously our deep passing games not quite good enough. Were not quite good enough anywhere.Notes: Lynch ran for 72 yards on 17 carries and didnt enter the game until the Seahawks second series. Carroll said Lynchs muscles were tight and needed extra time to get loose. ... Jackson finished with five catches for 157 yards. ... Robert Griffin III missed a third consecutive game with a dislocated left ankle, but he made a cameo appearance before the game, throwing passes to Jordan Reed a€” who is also injured a€” on the sideline. ... Washington has dropped seven straight in prime time and is 4-15 on Monday nights since 2000.___AP NFL websites: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow Joseph White on Twitter: http://twitter.com/JGWhiteAP Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
